[Opinions] Nicknames

I find nicknames which sound different than those of their formalized associates to be intriguing; however this does not mean I am able to list many of them.
Bob / Bobbie for Robert - I've used Bob or Bobbie as nickname variants.
Jerry for Gerome / Gerald / Geraldine
Nate for Jonathan - I learned of this variation from this site, perhaps from this post.
Tony / Toni for Anthony / Antoine / Antoinette

Oh, I am the opposite with you on Nate. I love Nathan and like Nathaniel, but refused to use them because I don't like Nate.
I personally love the nickname Min and Mina, and prefer the nickname to most of the longer versions (Minerva, Whilhelmina, Adamina, etc).
I also quite like Love for Lovise.
In most cases, I think nicknames enhance the full name, so I don't really prefer them over the name itself.

Ted, better than Theodore or Edward.
Sam, better than Samuel
Eddie, better than Edward or the other Ed names.
Abby, better than Abigail
Nick, better than Nicholas
Vicki, better than Victoria
Liz and Beth, better than Elizabeth.
Jenny, better than Jennifer

It's more often the opposite for me, but there are a few. I'd also gladly use them as firsts with no longer name.
Kitty (Catherine and variant spellings)
Elsie (Elizabeth/Elspeth, which I do really like, just not as much)
Evie (Evelyn)
Albie (Albert, see Elsie)
Archie (Archibald)
Georgie (George)
Finn (over all Fin- names)
