[Opinions] Eve and Evie.
My Dad's name is Stephen. He goes by Steve. So I thought Eve would be a great and creative. Way to honor him with a girl. However I have a few concerns that maybe I'm overthinking. While Eve and Evie are rising in popularity that doesn't bother me but it does sound close to the word evil. Our last name starts with L. What if there's two Eve's in her class and they call her Eve L? Also I know that the famous Eve from the bible is known for her sin. However she was the first woman and her creation is pretty cool. I like how the name means life too. One other thing, my cousin whom I never see is marrying a woman named Stevie. They live in different states but now there could be a Stephen, Stevie and Eve/Evie...this doesn't bother me but it's a thought. Can't Stan Stephanie and not looking for other ideas. Just reassurance! Thanks.

Eve and Evie don't make me think of evil, but Eve L is really not good. Even if she's the only Eve in her class, someone is going to notice this... I know you're not looking for suggestions, but I think all you'd have to do is use Eva instead of Eve. Then she'd be Eva L(lastname) which isn't so bad, and she can still have Evie as a nickname?I like the idea of honouring by rhyming though. I'd use Neve (an Anglicized spelling of Niamh).

No I don't think of evil. But if it makes you feel better I've always thought of Evelyn and Evelina as evil. No joke. So sad those are 2 of my favorite names.
