My gr grandfather was half Irish, half Welsh; I tend to be drawn to Celtic names. :)

Hadn't heard of Fianna, or of the Irish political association. I think Fianna is pretty, though I love the sound of Fiona so prefer that. I think handing down family surnames is nice, particularly those of female ancestors. In combination with Fianna, I do think Davina sounds better than does Davin, though the repeated "-a" ending wouldn't usually be my preference.

Adore Fionnuala like Moirrey!, pronunciation is difficult for non-Irish in my experience, but still usable with correction.

I have heard of the Fianna Fáil as well, but not sure that takes the name off the list. I considered Adilet or Adilette, which is a big political group in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

I like Davina too. I think Fianna Davina is unique and pretty, though the repeated endings bother me a bit.

The conservative party in Ireland is called Fianna Fáil which is my only association with the name. I probably wouldn't use the name because I think most people familiar with it would assume it was some sort of political statement (I'm Canadian for reference.)
