[Opinions] Key...
What do you guys think of (full name not nn) Key? I have a friend who just gave birth to a little (boy) Key and everyone is a bit on the fence about it. Her justification was if there can be Lees, Beas, and Dees, then why not Key? She got it from her husband's favorite show, Key and Peele, although the guy's actual name is Keegan lol.I like it.

My first thought was Key and Peele. Key is an awkward name! I don't like it. Should've gone with Keegan lol.

Could be worse. Her justification doesn't really make sense, since Bea and Dee aren't full names. But Key does have a namey sound and I see the appeal (sort of).

Definitely not a fan of it. What's next? Lock? Chain? Hammer? It's a bit too tool like for me. I prefer Keegan.

I don't mind it. It's not too bad. I'm okay with this name. I never thought of using it before, but why not? Better than Spoon anyway.

The only other name she mentioned that I've really seen in use not as a nickname is Lee. It's not horrid, but I definitely prefer Key as a nickname and it's coincidental word does not increase the appeal.

As in a key to open a door? No thanks. I don't particularly care for Lee, Dee and Bea as full names either.

It does sound convincing. But in general and especially here because of keys being such very familiar objects, I always prefer giving a full name, like Keegan, so that there's always an option available. Keegan can always be Key, but not the other way round.

I think they should have another boy and call him Locke (:Honestly, though, I don't think it's all that bad. There are way worse names out there. It reminds me of Kay... they can add that to their justification list. If Kay is a name, why not Key? If I met a Key I would assume it was short for something, but if I learnt it was their full name, I'd probably just shrug. It's a surname, so that helps.I guess that's my reaction, really. He's named Key. Shrug, whatever.

If your parents name you key
1 they hate you
2 they wanna lock you out of the house
3 it's gonna be fun to watch all the jokes when you grow up

It doesn't even look like a name. I know Key is a surname, but the fact that it's a common word makes it not sound like a name.

Its what Kim and Kanye should have named their son.
