What do you think of the name Lula? What would you think if you met a little girl with this name? Just after general opinions and anything that you would like to share on the name. Thanks.Sarah -

I think it's silly. If I met a little girl with this name, I'd think her parents were silly.

Lula is too nicknamey to me. If I met a little girl who was called that, I would hope it was short for Louisa / Louise, Lucinda or something similar. It works great on a young child, but I can't imagine it on a female who is 16, or 27 or older. It's a nice nickname though.

Not a big fan of the "u/oo" sound in names. Prefer Lola, Lila, or Lily.

I think it sounds sweet, but it's also got a ditzy vibe.I might assume it was a nn for Tallulah, which I've heard more often.

Lula is too cutesy to be a name on its own. It works as a nickname for a small child, but doesn't fit on an adult IMO.
I picture it used on a little girl dressed in lace and who plays only with dolls.I think Lula would fit better on a pet than a human.
Edited to fix my auto correct errors.

Oy...Grrr. Damn auto correct. It corrected Lula to Lulu the first time and I thought I corrected it.
I'm beginning to truly hate this mobile paper weight of mine.Thanks.

I would prefer Lola to Lula. Dislike that most probable nicknames, Lulu or Lu.

It's awful. It is like Beulah only tarted up to seem like the flashier Lola. If I met a little Lula I'd think her parents were desperate hipsters.

I'd check that she wasn't a Portuguese prawn. And then I'd feel sorry for her, because every day of her life someone is going to think her "real" name is either Lulu or Lola.

I think it's cute and spunky but I wouldn't like to live with it as a full name. I think it's an unusual and nice way to nickname Louisa and in this way I also like the spelling Loula. If I met a little girl with this name I'd think that her parents wanted a name that would stand out and be different while also fitting in with all the little Laylas, Lunas and Lylas.

I'd hope it was a nn for Louise, Lucy, etc. and not her real name. It sounds silly and rednecky to me.

I would think that was so cute! Lula is definitely underused. It's more spunky than Lola and would age better than Lulu. It also has nice nickname possibilities. I like it =)

I like Lula. I think its sweet and could work on its own. However, I am not sure it ages well. I can picture a baby/child Lula and an elderly Lula but nothing in between. Perhaps a longer name with Lula as a nickname would work best for those in between years. Something like Loelia, Lucille, Luella, Louisetta, Lucibella, etc.
