[Opinions] Middle name for Carol
Can't decide on a middle name for my daughter. I like older names, but not too stiff--if that makes sense. Edith, Esther, and Florence just won't make the cut I'm afraid. To give an idea, I like Carol Ivy and Carol Hadley but I'm not too crazy about either. And Carol is a namesake, so Carolyn/Caroline is out of the question. TIA. :)

I think Carol is very pretty, much happier than the grim Caroline, less plain than Carolyn.

I've never heard someone call Caroline "grim" but that's pretty funny. I don't disagree.Carol Monique is lovely; Carol Monica is also an idea.

I love Carol. There are two Carol-names in my family so I couldn't consider using it, but I think it would make a great name for a baby. It's midcentury, but not stylized, it feels more timeless like Laurel, and it doesn't feel "old lady" to me. Edith's not stiff. But it is more antique.Ivy and Hadley but not Edith and Florence ... hm. Most of the names I can think of, don't really fall one way or the other in my opinion. Ivy could seem old, but Hadley? I'm just going to write whatever combos come to mind, and let you sort out if any of the names appeal to you. Carol Hermione
