Obviously I'm getting the reference, but I'm seeing Mar Cantony, or Marcanton-y, and it just looks odd rather than 'clever'. The only framing I have for this sort of name is Hispanic portmanteaux*, so I'd read it as foreign rather than denoting any particular social class.
* I know someone whose full first name is Joseantonio, with that spelling. He's always called Tony. Could be the case with Marcantony, too.
