[Opinions] Names of children from a French movie...
...I just finished watching a French documentary "Etre et Avoir" about a one-room schoolhouse. The children were ages 3-11 and were so adorable! I thought the names were really interesting, so I thought I'd share. Which ones do you like? And if you have any questions about how I tried to show pronunciation, feel free to ask!Julien (zhew-LYEN) - the last syllable is kind of nasalized, the n is not really pronounced
Axel (ahk-SELL)
Johan "Jojo" (zho-AHN "zho-ZHO")
Guillaume (ghee-YOME)
Johann (zho-AHN)
Olivier (OH-lee-VYEH)
Jonathan (ZHO-nah-TAWN) - again, the last syllable is nasalized
Thomas (toh-MAH)

Franck (FRONK)
Kevin (keh-VEEN)

Laura is such an interesting name pronounced in French and also Italian. I took Italian in college and the professor called me Laura, prn. LOW-RA.
