[Opinions] Re: Cecily & Cecilia

1) What do you prefer Cecily or Cecilia?
Cecilia. I dislike the SESS sound of Cecily, (Cicely is not bad).
2) Does Cecilia sound 'too catholic' (The only two Cecilia's T've known were from very strict Catholic families)
Not really, I know of Saint Cecilia, and even though I'm not religious I like the association but I don't think of it as being particularly Catholic. None of the Cecilia's I know are Catholic.
3) Does Cecilia 'Cecily' work or is it a bit of a stretch?
It works, I don't know why you'd ever use Cecily as a nickname for Cecilia, they are both pretty long.
4) What would be a good nick name for Cecily?
I know two Cecilia's called Cece, so that would work. My friend Leah's name is actually Cecilia, but she found it was too difficult for other people to pronounce.
