I know a Talitha. It's not my style but it's okay. In one sense I can respect it for its Biblical reference but it's also not a name in the Bible so I don't know if that completely counts in my books. The Talitha I know really suits the name.

It's not megapopular where I live, but it gets more use than Tabitha. I like it! And I also like the 19th century connection: the early feminists took the biblical story of Jesus restoring the centurion's daughter to life, in which he said to her 'Young girl, get up', and used Talitha as a name but more often used Talitha, kumi as a kind of slogan or motto for girls' schools, women's associations etc.

I love it! It's more haunting and mystical than Tabitha, which I also love (albeit for different reasons).

I much prefer Tabitha. Talitha is more difficult to physically say. I almost get tongue tied.

I love the name Talitha. It's a really cool sounding name and I love the fact that its Biblical. There are plenty of names that fit nicely with it, just depends what you are after.
