[Opinions] Olwen/Olwyn
This name came to my attention as that of the sister of Ted Hughes (Sylvia Plath's husband.) Apparently Olwen is the original form but she spelled it Olwyn. It's Welsh and while there are two Welsh names I love, Bronwen and Carys, this one I think is awful. It has always struck me whenever I've read about Plath how awful this name is.
But I thought I'd see if there are any Olwen / Olwyn fans out there. WDYT?

Sure, I like it.
I remember a story I read when I was a child, in which the main character was named Olwen (that spelling.)and yes, she was Welsh.

I actually really like it! The meaning is beautiful, and Ollie is a cute nickname.
A bit too masculine for me, sadly.
Not me. It sounds mannish, and also like Owen with a fat lip.
Olwen was the name of one of my great-great aunts, who was called Ollie when she was little. I think it's very pretty. She had a daughter named Grace Olwen, which I also love. It's very breezy and white and makes me picture a woman with long blonde hair and flowing white clothes walking along the sea.
