Oscar is so nice name. But for Swedish royal family it was better Osgar or Asgeir.

I would have switched the middle names around, because you've got the -car of Oscar, running into the car- of Carl, and therefore the flow is off.

I think and hope that Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia will have a Bertil.
My cousin has a little son called Bertil and it would be fun with more little Bertils! Now it's mostly worn by great-grandfathers.

Oscar is fine and all, but I can't help feeling a little disappointed. I thought they would go with something a little more unusual since Estelle isn't exactly overly popular. I'm also a little bugged that he only got three names while Estelle have four.

I'm a bit surprised that Victoria and Daniel chose such traditional names. I mean, nobody expected the name Estelle when she was born. Anyway, I love Oscar, while Carl and Olof are nice as honoring names. However, the flow isn't the best in this combo: the "car car" irritates me the most. Carl Oscar Olof would be better and you could still call him Oscar.
