I love the name Noelle, I think it is beautiful!
But is it too Christmassy?
Baring in mind. I come from England where I have never met a Noelle

Noelle is nice enough and yes, there's no way to separate it from the holiday.

I have never met a person named Noelle, only dogs (4 of them). It's not a bad name, but it does feel overly Christmasy to me and to a certain extent like a dog name, because of my associations. It is very pretty though and I wish I could easily cast those associations aside.

It's beautiful! It reminds me of Christmas but it's not too Christmassy.

I like Noelle but I prefer the spelling Noel. But that again who am I to judge because I love Noella

Yes, why not, quite nice definitely not too Christmas-sy.
Maybe a little too similar to: (IMHO)Christ-elle
Dani-elle
Est-elle
Jo-elle
Marc-elle
Mich-elle
etc.Bye

I think it's really pretty. It's fun but elegant and youthful but sophisticated. I can picture it in anyone of any age - all of these things make for a fabulous names by my standards.

Noelle, Sure.My middle name is Noel (pronounced like Noelle). I was born in spring.I slightly associate it with Christmas/December because of the carol "The First Noel", but I enjoyed that connection growing up (also since I was named after my great-grandfather, I think of it primarily as a family name). The only time I've heard people talk about it as a seasonal name is on baby name sites like this one, although I suppose that might be different if I lived closer to France...

I don't think it's too Chritmassy, I'm from Northern Ireland and know of a few people called Noelle

Too Christmas like... probably not. I think it would work just fine.

Love Noelle! Although I also love the Christmas association so that's not a negative for me. :)My sister's middle name is Noel (pronounced like Noelle) and I had a male professor named Noel in undergrad (pronounced like NOLE). In my sister's case, my parents picked that middle name because my mom's maiden name is Nowell. I don't think either of them have had too much of a Christmas problem, other than occasionally being asked "Were you born around Christmas?"

It's not too Christmassy, it's fine. Personally I don't like it because of the word NO at the front of it, which I just can't overlook in this name. No Elle, no well... I dunno, I just don't like it. (sorry)

It's fine- it's not for everyone, honestly I love Noelle mainly because of the Elle part but I feel like Elle can be too plain at times!

It's okay. I would use it as a middle name for a girl born on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. (And Noel for a boy). Personally that's the only way I'd use it, because I don't like it well enough to use as a first name for its own sake, but I think it's okay to use for a baby born any time of year.

I really like th idea of a middle name!

I love Noelle. It's great as an unexpected first or middle name. I don't strongly associate it with Christmas.

Yeah the more people don't associate with Xmas, the more I love it!

I've never met a Noelle (from England also). And I don't find it Christmassy. However if I found out she were a December baby I would wonder whether the Christmas association were the reason for her name.
But I don't like the name. Noelle was the name of a character in a young adult novel I read. She was a spoilt b**ch*.

If you hadn't read that book do you think you would still like the name?Just wondering!

It's difficult to say. Because now I picture a popular, mean girl with this name whenever I hear it.
