[Opinions] Re: A - B femalenames with Norwegian origin
in reply to a message by schandrou
Hi !!!!
I like:
Andbjørg
Anngerd
Arnbjørg
Bjørnlaug
+ Annemarie (with an e) but it is more French
I think that I like them because they have an "Ancient Norse" fascination. I love their sound.
Can I tell you if these names are used nowadays?
I know that bjørg prefix/suffix is common but with these combinations..? Are they considered "Archaic/dead names" or they are used?

I don't think the names you picked out are very common anymore. But I do know an 8 year old girl named Ambjørg, almost like Andbjørg and Arnbjørg, so I think the old norse names arent dead yet. I can see that there is always some parents that love old Norwegian names.
