[Opinions] Faye
What do you think of Faye? Would it get mistaken for the more common Faith?

I always like it, spelled this way too. I like it as a middle name as well.
It might get misheard as Faith sometimes, but I've been hearing it a lot recently, so i think its about to make a comeback! I like it, its sweet.
I absolutely hate this name, I do not get the appeal AT ALL! It's old and ugly, it has no spunk. It starts badly and ends worse plus looks terrible in the process. Anything is better than Faye!
I think Faye is lovely and light without feeling insubstantial. I find it visually pleasing as well. It might get occasionally confused as people hear what hey expect, but it's an easy fix to correct them.
I don't hate it but don't love it either. Seems dated to me.
I don't think it'd be mistaken for Faith, but that could partly be because I've never met a Faith, while I know several Fays.

Wow, I'm surprised you don't know any Faith's. Every third family with two daughters has a Faith and a Trinity in my area. I so hate the name Faith but I like Faye, that's why I asked.
Sweet, simple, elegant, but a little dark and mysterious too. I love Faye (but prefer Fae or Fey); it's one of my favourite names. I definitely think it's different enough not to be mistaken for Faith, and easily rectified if it is. I think it makes a brilliant middle too, or as a double first, I'm considering Luna-Fae at the moment.

Personally Faye isn't my style.
I don't think Faye would be confused for Faith. Even if it isn't used much anymore, most people seem to be pretty familiar with Faye/Fay as a name.

I think it's a very sweet but strong little name. I'd like to see it as a first name since it's so much more common in the middle. It may get mistaken for Faith in some accents (like mine where we clip consonants left and right), but that's easily corrected. My daughter's name, Meg, is often mistaken for May. Meh.
