I also have a name that doesn't lend itself to a typical nickname (Shannon). As a kid I always disliked that and wished I'd had a nickname, and so I wanted to name my kids with nickname-able names. And I did! Benjamin (Ben), Margaret (Meg), and Alexander (Alex). :)

I don't think Audrey really needs a nickname, even though you wish you had one. Anything would seem forced. Like I get called Shan sometimes, but it's not like a standard thing. I'd never call myself that or write it down on something.
