I wouldn't use NN unless you really have to for these.
Natural shortenings for speech might be Cai (kai) and Si (see) or Sen.
Otherwise, go with an endearment nickname like Sunshine, Smiley, Bugaloo or Cheeks. Silly, but hey - that's what nicknames are for!
