I prn it like barrel, and have heard it prn like BERL. Either one is unattractive for me. i'd go with Cheryl or Meryl, myself.

I looked up the pronounciation;the few times I'd heard it used, people said it as BURRL.Even more unattractive than barrel.
The woman on the youTube thing said it almost, but not quite, like barrel, she said, "Ber-el".
It is hard to like, I agree.
