Five years have passed.
Miles and Violet Strickland
Miles and Violet are nearing their sixties now, and are enjoying watching their children raise families of their own. With the baby boom over the past few years, Violet has found her grandmotherly skills in high demand. She has enjoyed spending a lot of time with the grandkids. Even Miles has been able to get away from work for a week or two at a time and devote time to the grandkids.
Lily and Hunter Prescott
Lily and Hunter have had a whirlwind ride these past few years. Just when they thought life was under control and they were established in their careers, Lily found out she was pregnant. Seven months later, they welcomed identical twin girls, Bella and Jessie. Blake, now one, and Lewis, two months old, are more recent additions to the family. Lily and Hunter have been introducing their kids to as many different kinds of animals as possible (since both of them love animals, they want their kids to love them too). The Prescotts have a variety of animals and are known in the neighborhood as the "Prescott Zoo".
Charlie and Morgan Strickland
Charlie and Morgan's family has remained pretty much the same over the past five years, which suits them just fine. Charlie works full time for an electrical contracting company, and he travels around the US installing electrical lines and wiring in commerical buildings. Morgan has finally realized her dream of being a stay-at-home mom, and she loves being around to volunteer in the kids' classrooms and host their friends after school. Zane, 14, is into skateboarding and rock music. Paulie, Owen, and Noah (ages 10, 8, and 8) are their own little mischievious band of three musketeers and can often be found riding their bikes or rollerblading around the neighborhood. Julia and Shiloh stick a little closer to home, though Julia often plays with her brothers. Shiloh is a homebody and is never far from Morgan's side.
Jamie and Dakota Strickland
Jamie and Dakota were married five years ago, and as soon as they were married, the kids started coming. Luca, 4, Iris, 3, Cora, 2, Faith, 3 weeks, and Leo, 3 weeks, keep them on their toes. Having five kids under the age of five is stressful, but Jamie enjoys taking the kids outside and spending time with them (especially Luca, who idolizes him). The family practically lives outdoors (except in the winter).
Kodi and June Strickland
Kodi has had a rough couple of years. He and Alice were doing well and had had two children, Henry and Aubrey (in addition to Finn). Two years ago, Alice was killed in a car accident on her way home from teaching school. Kodi was devastated and almost dropped out of medical school. Instead, Miles and Violet took temporary custody of the kids until Kodi could graduate. Last year was a big year for Kodi--he graduated from medical school, started a residency program in New York City, moved (with the kids) to New York, met another resident named June (and found out June was widowed and had three kids too), dated June, proposed to June, and (just last week) married June. The family is still trying to work out the logistics of merging their two families (particularly where they are going to live with eight people and hardly any salary between Kodi and June). Kodi is hopeful that it will all work out.
