This round, 5 years have passed. Roll for each couple:
1- One partner has passed away.
2- Separated or divorced.
3- No change to relationship.
4-6- Dating couples are now engaged, engaged couples are now married, married couples are still together.
*
Roll for each single person over the age of 18, including any who have just become single in the last roll:
1- Single.
2- Dating someone around their age.
3- Dating someone either much older or younger than themselves.
4- Engaged.
5- Married to someone with a child or children from a previous relationship.
6- Married to someone who didn't bring children into the relationship.

I'm still catching up with the game, but I thought I'd answer the questions now!
The main issue I had was that towards the end, there wasn't much choice for surnames. If we could have more surnames to choose from, that would be great.
I also agree with death being a little too common, looking at some other participants' results.
I am loving the game, though, so please do make another!

Thanks for hosting! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely play again. I also liked the variation in the name banks. As for changes, my only suggestion is to cut down the number of children. There were many times I rolled a 5 for each couple but only gave them 2-3 children instead. If I had played correctly some of my couples would have way too many children and it would be too hard to keep up with them all. Other than that I had a lot of fun playing and will definitely play the next game. Thanks!

Note: I did really enjoy this! As for changes... Maybe some way to cut down on the number of children, at least when it comes to younger couples. It becomes a lot to keep up with. And maybe make it optional to roll the dice to see if a couple breaks up, one of the people dies, etc.

Thanks for hosting - I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and would definitely play again! I would suggest using a higher numbered die so as to provide more variety in namebanks and reduce the likelihood of partners dying every round (or, on the flipside, having 5 kids every 5 years...) I'd definitely enjoy another congrats game like this. It's one of my favorite name games. What I'd like to see changed is the number of children, I often rolled five and if you have a 19 year old or someone in their early twenties or even someone older it's just too much to accomodate and keep it somehow real. Three or four children as maximum would be a nice change. Also the option where one partner passed away, I'd merge it with the separated or divorced. It's natural that sadly young people pass away as well, but I rolled it four times in a row for the same person and at that point it was too much. But those are just some minor issues, thank you for hosting the game, I really had fun.

Games such as this are definitely my favourite type so I would love to play another one similar to this. Some issues I found were how many deaths of partners I seemed to roll and the likeliness of that happening in real life. Although I do know shock deaths of young people happen all the time, maybe consider only the 'death' option for couples over a certain age. I also found it tricky to fit in the amount of children rolled per round; for example a couple got married in the first roll and so when it came to children I'd roll but if I got 5 I had to try to work out how two 19 year olds birthed five children in five years while keeping it realistic. You could also have included a separate area for how many kids a new partner brings to the relationship because sometimes I rolled that kind of partner but on the next section came up with 6 which meant they didn't have any children! So I had to improvise many times. Also, I'm not sure if it's a little last century that only married couples have the opportunity to have children; perhaps there could be element of choice for the player to chose to roll for each couple to see if they conceive.

I chose to roll for all couples regardless of relationship status, same as I chose the genders of all my significant others by role of dice.

I found a lot of the same issues as you, particularly the death issue which I will definitely change! As for only the married couples having children, along with the simplicity side of things, my conscience doesn't allow me to host it any other way (I'm very old-fashioned myself) but I know that a few chose to roll for children for all of their couples, which was up to them. You can choose to do that next game if you wish. Thanks for answering my questions and I'll tweak it for next time =)
