Help[Opinions] How do YOU pronounce Mariam?
I'm quite fond of the name Mariam, but I cannot decide how to pronounce it. I switch between MAR-ee-um and MAIR-ee-um. Is there a "correct" pronunciation? I would also like to see how people pronounce it on sight, just to know what's most practical.

I'd say MAR-ee-um, but it's used quite often by Muslim people around where I live, and they prononce it mar-ee-AM.

I say MARE-ee-um, and that's how I prefer it. I really love Mariam, too. :)

I've only ever heard it pro. MAIR-ee-um... it's quite close to one of my fave girl names - Marian / Marion, which I say MAIR-ee-uhn, like Maid Marion from Robin Hood :)
