Wil and Autumn's little clan has grown by three--adopted little boys from around the country. They figured that they already had five boys and that a few more wouldn't create too much more chaos than they already had. Wil and Autumn get strange looks when they're all out and about--after all, eight little boys is an uncommon sight.
Wil often takes the older boys on camping and backpacking trips and is teaching them to love the great outdoors. Autumn makes sure everyone stays well supplied with healthy food, a clean home, and plenty of love.
Eli, 11, spends as much time outside as possible. He is also the de-factor "leader" of the boys. He is very smart, but has learned more from experience and experiments than books.
Levi, 10, is Eli's side-kick and also spends much of his time outdoors. He loves to study plants, trees, and animals and knows more about small wild creatures than anyone else in the family.
Noah, 9, is still a storyteller, and he loves to read and write (especially adventure stories). He is a creative thinker and loves to watch movies.
Justin, 8, was adopted two years ago. He is from across the country and was orphaned when his parents and older sister were killed in a car accident. He is a quiet boy, who suffers from occasional nightmares and flashbacks. He has grown very attached to his brothers and is often the encouraging impetus behind their endeavors.
Matt, 7, is still doing acrobatic feats of daring and can be found climbing monkey bars, doing backflips, and bouncing from couch to chair and back again in the house. He spends a lot of time outside as well, which is a great outlet for his energy.
Josh, 5, is a follower. He still doesn't say much, but is always in the middle of the action. He is a smart, thoughtful little boy.
Isaac, 4, was adopted last year. His single mother gave him up for adoption when she could no longer care for him. He is a happy child, who seems to think that living with Wil and Autumn is one great adventure after another.
Ryan, 3, was adopted last year as well, shortly after Isaac arrived. Ryan's mother abandoned him at birth, and his father died of a drug overdose when Ryan was six months old. Ryan had been to several foster homes in the months before Wil and Autumn adopted him. He is shy and prone to temper tantrums. Ryan has trouble connecting with new people, but gets along well with his older brothers.
