Hi there! I think Ilse would be more like EEL-zeh. Not eel like electric eel, but the "i" sound more like a cross between "ih" like "important" and "ee" like "Easter". And then the 'e' at the end is pronounced "eh" like in "ember". I lived in Austria for a while and it takes a while to pick up on how the 'e' is really pronounced at the end of words... not really "uh" like the English name Sarah, but "eh" like "ember".
