I take it since she said "but in Keighley" that Keighley is a town. Since Leigh can be spelled with the "eigh" as "ee" I would say Keighley as kee-lee. It's possible that the "th" sound is just the local accent... seeing as it's in West Yorkshire, I want to say it's the accent :) Not like Leicester (which is les-ter for those who don't know) which has a weird pronunciation but it's the same pronunciation everywhere.

Not really....I'm from Scotland and living in Newcastle, and I saw Keith-lee. It's just what it's called.

My first guess would probably be KEY-lee. Like rhyming with Leigh. But KAY-lee makes sense too.Keith-lee though, how odd. I would never put a "th" sound in there.

For me it is a last name (i know someone who has this as a last name)

Keighley- Keith-lee sounds like a town (I spent most of my childhood in the Tyne and Wear area, but I don't think it's an accent thing- Yorkshire doesn't usually turn gh into th), but if I saw Keighley in the context of a name, then I'd probably try Key-lee (Keely) first.sa

Pronounced, kei-lee. Well, that's how I pronounce it anyways. I have two friends called Kayleigh. Much prettier.
