[Opinions] Opinions on Teagan
WDYT of Teagan? What are your prefered spellings? Also does anyone know what it means? In searching I have found that it means 'little poet,' 'beautiful,' and 'doe.'

My mom told me she had a problem about my name, to be Teagan or Reagan. She said she chose Reagan because of some of the nicknames like Rea or Agan or Raggie, but she also thought if people would tease me like Rag or call me dirty rag and so on, but thought of Teagan and said she would hate to be called tag or Rag but she thought Rae or Rea would be better nicknames than Tee or Tae.

It means little poet...I don't know where you got the other meanings. My grandmother, who is Irish, had the ln Teague, meaning poet, derivitave of Tadgh. -an is a diminutive suffix meaning "small."

I like the name Teagan and it's on my list of favorites. I think it means "little poet" but I'm not sure. My favorite combos are Teagan Anna and Teagan Shea.

It's cute, too close to one of my faves Regan/Reagan for me to add it to my list. I only like it as Teagan & only for a boy.

i dislike it, especially for a girl. my cousin used it & i tihnk it's terribly masculine for a girl. although the 'little poet' is nice

BtN says it means "little poet".I prefer it for a boy, as I think it sounds masculine, but it's not absolutely terrible on a girl. It's not a favourite, but it's alright. The meaning's nice too.I don't like Teague either, it just sounds incomplete to me.Miranda

Personally, I don't like it at all, but that's just me.

Same here... I don't really know why: I love Reagan, Regan...I think it has something to do with the meaning (a bit cheesy). I also dislike Teague.

How would you pronounce Teagan? Would you say it rhymes with Reagan? I've always heard it like 'TEE-gan' not 'TAY-gan.'
