[Opinions] Stephanie
WDYT of Stephanie? Is it too dated? All combo suggestions appreciated.

I like it enough though I prefer its variants of Estefania and Etiennette!

I don't like it. My husband ADORES this name. It was a battle every time to take it off the table for us.
The "steph" sound bothers me, but I can get past it. I think the "ph" spelling also puts me off.
Stefanie is considered "less classy" a spelling for some reason, and Stefania pretentious or "Jersey Shore" (to use NYers).
I guess I just don't like the many opinions on this name and felt like I would have to justify the choice constantly.
That said, it is recognizable, solid, and pretty to look at. It's a totally usable name, and would be a nice reprieve from all the Sophias to see today.
I imagine it will be in vogue again in 20 years or so.

Not dated at all! During the summer I loved this names. This was my great-grandmother's name. We called her 'Stella'. I still like this name a lot. It's elegant and never goes out of style!
Personally, I really dislike this name. It seems so very 80s and their isn't a usable NN for me.
But if you like it and think it's pretty, go for it. I would keep MN short. How about...
Stephanie Belle
Stephanie Capri
Stephanie Cate
Stephanie Diane
Stephanie Edith
Stephanie Jane
Stephanie Nora
Stephanie Rose
Stephanie Ruth

It is really 80s dated but it does have a nice sound. I just really dislike Steph and Stephi. The full name is pretty, but it feels tired. I wouldn't use it. Stefania seems fresher, at least in English speaking countries.
It needs a fresh, more unusual middle name.
Stephanie Luana
Stephanie Eliana
Stephanie Clara
Stephanie Lucia
Stephanie Eleanor
Stephanie Linnea or Linnaea
Stephanie Vivian
Stephanie Joanna
Stephanie Noelle
By all means I would avoid typical 80s combos such as Stephanie Anne, Stephanie Marie or Stephanie Lynn.

I quite like it, but there are other feminised male names that I like better. I don't find it particularly dated.
Thinking of feminised names, my problem might be simply that when I like a male name, I'm less likely to like its female equivalent. I like Stephen a lot, for instance. But I don't enjoy Anthony, Cecil, George, Harry or Philip nearly as much as Antonia, Cecily, Georgina, Harriet or Philippa.

It's a bit 80s/90s, but not so dated that it couldn't be used today.
