Helga! I can't say I'm wild about it, but one of my favorite artists is Swedish Helga Henschen.
Donna sounds snobbish and btw it means "woman" in Italian, so it's like naming someone Lady.

Helga, easily!

Helga. I don't like the sounds, but at least it's more interesting than Donna.

How about neither. Lol.If I had to Donna but I'd call her Belladonna as a nn or come up with some other nn.

Donna is dated; Helga isn't. Helga, then; but if I was really deciding IRL, I'd use Helen instead.

Donna slightly more, but Helga is good too

I think Hel is just such a chic, fierce nickname. I love all the Hel names. They have spirit and fingernails that shine like justice.

Donna.Donna, not a favourite name, but ok. I have a second cousin named Donna, I believe she was named sort-of for her father, Donald.

HelgaI don't like either of them to be honest. I could never ever use Donna. I've lived in Italy and it is the Italian word for 'woman'. It is a commonly used word so it would just be super weird should she go to Italy.Even if she doesn't it is extremely dated, I dislike the nicknames Don and Donnie and it has a bit of an insubstantial, ditzy image. As a child I sometimes watched reruns of Beverly Hills 90210 with my older cousin and I remember a character named Donna who was this blond, Malibu type of girl and I first think of her. She was named after her dad Don if I remember correctly (I loved that show when I was 5 or 6, I guess because I could spend time with my cousin) which is kind of cute but still not a fan of the name.Helga is really clumsy and odd but more substantial and stronger than Donna. I think it could possibly make a comeback, it is sort of similar in style to names such as Matilda and Elsa, very strong and no-nonsense.

Helga. Donna is my boyfriend's mother's name and it just seems really dated. Helga seems more timeless, if not all-together mellifluous.

DonnaHelga is extremely pretty, but I like the way Donna sounds. Fits with anything.

DonnaNot a fan of Helga, but Donna reminds me of Donna Noble from Doctor Who, so it wins hands down.
