An acquaintance just named her daughter Órla and I thought it was a bit pretentious to add the accent since neither she nor her husband are Irish. It's a pretty enough name, but not one of my favourites. I didn't know the meaning before, but it doesn't grab me....one of my pet hates is hearing people describing their daughter as their 'princess'
