[Facts] male native Alaskan name that's meaning is pride or similar
I'm an author writing a story set in Alaska. One of my characters is a native Alaskan male. I would like to give him a name from his ancestor’s that means pride or something close to that. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

Try to find an email address for an Alaskan public library. Librarians love questions like that!

I don't have an answer, but you will probably have to narrow your question down to a particular language.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Native_languages#List_of_Alaska_Native_languages

You also need to figure out where in Alaska the character lives, as that will give you the language you need to search for a name. The most popular language in Alaska is Yupik.
