Help[Opinions] Nina, Clara or Greta?
These are three of my favorites and as they are very similar in style, I was wondering which one you prefer and why? Could you rank them? Comments are appreciated. Thank you!

I adore Clara pronounced KLAR-ə. It is magical, lyrical, adventurous, and somewhere between refined and down-to-earth. It is also a little sexy and mischievous, it has some fire in there but also water. Since I have never known a Clara well so I have few expectations for what she would look like.
Nina feels like a ballerina name. Nina Nina Ballerina. Nina tends towards being quiet and possibly shy when young. She is sweet and loves the color pink. She is also artistic and loves to dance. She will be more vibrant as she ages. I associate it the most with the elements of water and air - the name especially sounds and looks airy. I was very close to two different Nina's growing up. One was shy and the other was more colorful but both were very empathetic artistic people. Both had brown hair and brown eyes - one was black and the other was white - but I can imagine this name suiting anyone of any ethnicity.
I have never known a Greta but I have liked the name for years. It is some how both short yet heavy. It makes me think of the bounty and strength of the earth. It is sexy in a curvy sort of way. It makes me think of jazz music and old school Hollywood charm. I usually image it as being a name of someone who is black or white. I have a harder time imaging someone who is Latina or Asian or Middle Eastern with this name.
I think I slightly prefer Nina to Greta but it is close. All three are great names.

I don't love Nina but I think it's the nicest of the three. Straightforward and serious but also cute and fun. My only critique is the whole "it means girl in spanish" thing.
I tend to avoid Clara because it's sort of ambiguous in pronunciation; I never know if she wants to be pronounced CLAA-ra or CLARE-a. Also, I usually find -ara names charming and humble, but I think Clara is a little too precious. I guess I feel the same way about Claire.

But the Spanish word is spelled differently (accent above the second N) and it is also pronounced differently NEEN-ya, instead of NEE-na (Nina). I studied Spanish and the word never reminded me of the name at all because of the very different pronunciation and the different spelling as well.

Ahhh I understand :) To me that is not a problem because it's not a negative word or anything like that. I also doubt that most Spanish speakers would think of the word. At least I had a girl named Nina in my class and she tried to tell our Spanish exchange students that her name meant girl in Spanish and they didn't get it because it sounds so different and then she had to write it down but even then it wasn't exactly the same, but they understood :P I once met a girl named Ninja pronounced NEEN-ya (like the word) but spelled like ninja :P that was odd to me personally.

Yeah, don't let my silly associations bother you! That's good that it's not a problem for Spanish speakers. I figured they'd avoid the name but it's cool that that's not the case. :)

I prefer Clara. Its more palatable to the general public who still seem to put Greta in the same category as Helga, Hilda, and Gretchen.
Second I would say Greta because I like it.
Third Nina because it always looks like a nickname to me and not a full name. It also has a sort of prissy vibe to it like Coco and Fifi.

I love Clara a lot, but don't care much for the other two. *shrug* They just seem sort of inelegant to me.
