[Opinions] Re: Some Italian names
in reply to a message by Felie
Valentina - it's okay. A bit too common. I prefer Valentine, pronounced the English way.
Lorena - always sounded kind of negative to me, there is something dark about its sound.
Irene - nice meaning but I don't care for the sound.
Giorgia - nice but so common and I don't know if I would like to say this 20 times per day, it is a bit harsh.
Domiziana - this doesn't sound like a name more like the name of a house or something.
Maria - nice but there are so many.
Manuela - has always been one of my least favorites.
Giada - I like the meaning but it is common and sounds a bit harsh.
Sharon - hmmm no, it's 50s/60s dated. I prefer Sharona.
Marika - seems a bit dated but it's okay.
Simona - also seems a bit dated but the sound is fine.
Loredana - this used to be a favorite but now it's just a bit much.
Giuliana - it's fine, the sound is nice, maybe a bit dated.
Jenny - never cared for this, especially not as a full name. Jenna is kind of nice. I prefer the spelling Jennie.
Francesca - overdone but the sound is fine.
Marie - nice. Classic and sophisticated.
Michelle - hmm a bit dated but okay.
Sara - nice, I like this because of 'A Little Princess'.
Roberta - kind of cute.
Valeria - dated and I don't care for the sound.
Yosselyn - looks odd. Jocelyn and Joceline are better.
Alessandra - overdone but fine. Much better than Alexandra.
Vanina - vagina :(
Giulia - overdone but beautiful!
Martina - a bit boring and starting to sound old.
Sepideh - hmmm don't like the sound.
Marianna - not bad.
Stefania - is this dated in Italy? Seems like the equivalent of Stephanie.
Eleonora - so nice!
Silvia - not bad, prefer Sylvia.
