[Opinions] Hadrian and Everett
Hadrian - what are your thoughts? Nickname options? Do you think everybody would hear it as Adrian? Adrian seems dated do you think Hadrian has the same feel? Everett - thoughts? I would probably try and avoid a nicknameHow do you think that both sound with Patience?~ Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry ~

I like Hadrian more every time it's mentioned! It's got a nice cuddly classics-professor feel to it (like Atticus, only less trendy), it's familiar while being fairly uncommon, and it's fun to have your own namesake wall.
It's also a whole lot fresher than Adrian, which is definitely going grey. If the local accent where you live drops its Hs, there might be confusion sometimes, but it's easily corrected. The only Hadrian I know of never used an nn, but Hay and Hady seem like the most logical. Can't warm to Everett. It probably feels quite traditional in the US, but it isn't here, so it seems mismatched with Patience.

Hadrian is nice at face value, and is a nice variant on Adrian, but it's far to associated with Hadrian's wall and the Roman Emperor to be usable. I guess you could use "Ian" as a nn technically? Everett is lovely. There's a two year old Everett in my preschool class and many parents have told me how much they like the name. I would definitely steer clear of Hadrian, but it does sound fine with Patience. Everett and Patience are nice together.

I do like Hadrian, I also like Adrian. I think it might be a tad confusing but not enough of a problem to be annoying. I like Rian (ree-an) for a nickname. Here in Australia Hayden's often get Haydz as a nickname, that would be a possibility for Hadrian too (but I dont like it).Everett is ok. Bit trendy. I think both work with Patience.

I love Hadrian! It's not easily reducible to nicknames, but I suppose Hadry could work.I like Everett, but Hadrian is richer and fresher to me.Everett complements Patience more harmoniously.

I think most people would assume it was Adrian. No, I think Hadrian has a totally different feel. Not sure how much I like it. I used to date a jerk named Everett, so that colors my thinking. I do remember really liking his name when we first started dating. Patience? I think they're both fine with Patience.

Hadrian - I like it! I think it's warmer than Adrian, which is good. I'm sure it would get heard as Adrian often, I doubt most people (in the US, at least), even know about Hadrian. I also don't think Adrian is dated, I've never met one before in my life. No nickname ideas, I can't see how it could lend itself to one. Except maybe, like, Hades... lol. That's no good.Everett - Love! I wanted to consider it for our youngest, but my husband said no. It's such a handsome, kind, name, with a woodsy thing going on. Also not hard to avoid a nickname, although I encountered a little Everett called Evvie which I thought was super cute.I think they both go very well with Patience. I love sets that are more unpredictable.
