[Opinions] Juliana and Giuliana
A new favorite. I think I prefer Giuliana, it looks nicer to me. But Juliana is nice too. Which one do you prefer? What do you think of the name? Do you prefer Julia, Giulia? Is Giuliana boring because Julia was/is so common? I kind of like Giuliana nn Giuly or Giulie. Giuliana and Lily for sisters?

Juliana looks more intuitive in terms of pronunciation. People around here aren't very good with unfamiliar names* and I think people would be stumped by Giuliana and pronounce it "goo-lee-anna" or something!
*I know kid with names like Aida and Katerina whose names are pronounced wrong all the time!

I personally prefer just simple Julia.I prefer Juliana over Giuliana, but I guess it depends where you live. Giuliana would work better in Italy I suppose. Giuliana and Lily for sisters sounds very sweet. Julia and Lily would be adorable too. :)

I actually have two little girls (Giuliana and Julianna) in my pre-school class. There is also a Julia and a Lily. Personally I don't really care for it. Tacking -ana/-anna onto the end of names seems to be a bit of trend lately, one I could do without.

I personally prefer the spelling Juliana. Giuliana really only works in places like Italy, where most 'G' names are pronounced with a 'j' sound. Otherwise, you run the risk of people mispronouncing the name with a hard 'g', which doesn't sound good.I quite like the name on the whole. I don't like Julia at all (even though it's my mum's name), but Juliana (or Giuliana) is much prettier and far less dated.

I really like Giulietta. I think Juliana is a little passé, but Giuliana is okay. Giulietta is really amazing, though, to me.

Hi !!!Giuliana is quite dated and heavy to me.Juliana (any pronounciation) is fresher.I would not choose it anyway because as you said it is part of 'Giulia-names' which are so common and boring!Giulia-names have to take a break. On the oppisite I think that Giulio is very interesting because unusual and still elegant.
