I think that anyone who watches Game of Thrones will assume that you are a fan of the show or the book.I feel that Brienne is pretty and I much prefer it to Brianne/ Briane or Brianna/ Briana. It reminds me of the beautiful names Vivienne and Adrienne.

I don't know about in Italy but in the US I have never met a person named Brienne. I had never heard of the name Brienne before I read the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. It sounds very similar to Brianne. I have met around one Brianne before and I have met many Brianna's. I have also met a few Bree's.I think anyone who watches GoT will think a Brienne was named because her parents watched the show or read the books. Not a bad thing just something to be conscious of.Anyone who isn't familiar with the show or books will just think it is a variant of Brianne. It definitely feels like an actual name, I would instinctively assume it was a French form of Brianne. As I said earlier I like it. Whether or not it is usable I think depends on whether or not you care that the name is strongly connected to GoT. That opinion will vary from person to person and I'm not certain about my own feelings. I think it wouldn't deter me from using it if I loved it, but I am not certain.

I've warmed to it recently, but that's mostly because of the Game of Thrones character Brienne of Tarth (who's awesome, btw, so don't let it put you off).Like some of the other people who have commented, I prefer Briana/Brianna, but Brienne is still quite pretty.

It's kind of pretty, actually. I much prefer Brianna or Brianne, but Brienne is okay. Though it does kind of sound like a kitchen word. Like you might have beef Brienne with glazed carrots or something.
I think it makes a better middle name than a first name, because as a first name it's likely to be misheard as Brianne.Alexis BrienneCourtney BrienneErica BrienneHayley BrienneJessica BrienneKayla BrienneLayla BrienneMelissa BrienneSavannah Brienne

I don't really like it but I don't hate it either. It's okay. It seems very made up. Briana is nicer, in my opinion. If Brianna hadn't been so common I would really like Briana being used more often. Briana is a classic to me, it was used in The Faerie Queene as early as 1590!Brienne Elise
Brienne Anastasia
Brienne Louise
Brienne Rosa
Brienne Noelle
Brienne CamilleBrienne Camille sounds nice, in my opinion. I remember you like Camille, and Rosa for your great grandmother :) Actually Camille Rose is gorgeous! It makes me think of white and pink roses, so beautiful!
