Help[Opinions] Chrisanthy
Ok I know I've asked about this name a zillion times but I need to really know peoples thoughts...
Ive loved this name since forever. I only like this spelling and with the nickname Santhy not Chris or Chrissy.
I don't know if I could use it, though I'd like to. I mentioned it to Cam and I told him the Chris part would honour his mum Christine. He liked that idea, but he had a hard time saying the whole name (hes happy with Santhy though). He has difficulty saying long words in general.
I know it doesnt really fit with my other kids names which are quite common but it doesn't worry me too much.
If I don't use it the only name similar which I also love is Xanthe.
Are there any other names which are similar to Chrisanthy you can think of? Should I consider using this or ditch it completely?

I think Chrisanthy is fine and I actually don't think it clashes with the other siblings names too much. I guess it is a problem if you husband has problems saying it though. Unless maybe he'll get the hang of it after a bit?
EDIT: Do you know what middle name you'd use with Chrisanthy?

Probably Chrisanthy Joyce after Cam's grandma.
I have to teach him to break down the syllables. He has problems with speech. He gets tongue-tied. He can say his sisters name Natasha, though she mostly goes by Tash. He can also say some other 3 syllable names too like Samantha. Chrisanthy shouldn't be too hard once he gets the hang of it.

I think Chrisanthy Joyce sounds nice with the siblings. It is definitely different and far more obscure than the other names. But I think Chrisanthy is one of those "blank-slate" names, particularly because it's an alternative spelling. I think if you used the classical spelling (Chrysanthe) instead it wouldn't go with the siblings as nicely.
