[Opinions] How do you pronounce...
The girls name Io? On the page there are 2 pronunciations for it. IE-o & EE-o, both English. I personally like the first pronunciation, how about you?

With a long I, like the moon.
IE-o for me, otherwise it's too close to Old Macdonald's farm ... ee-ie-ee-ie-o. I suppose they both are, but EE-o seems worse for some reason.
Not a name I'd choose.

When I worked as a teacher in a school a few years ago I met a little girl named Io and she pronounced it EE-o.
I pronounce it E-I-E-I-o.
I prefer "EE-o"
I've always pronounced it EE-o, but I think I actually like IE-o better.
I have no idea! I guess if I saw it I would just ask that person how she says it. I think it will get mispronounced as YO quite a bit and she will get lots of yo yo yo's. It also sounds like some random singing in a song. Kind of like lalala or something or nanana. I don't even know which pronunciation I prefer. I think they are both odd sounding. I just don't think it works as a name. Apart from that its meaning is not known which doesn't add to its appeal. Wasn't Io changed into a cow by Zeus? I think it's not very usable. Much prefer Iona and Ione.
IE-o
I also really like EE-o, but it's just not the natural way I'd pronounce it.

I say IE-o, because that's how I've heard Jupiter's moon said, but EE-o, wouldn't surprise me.
