Coco is a dog's name for me. It doesn't help that Coco Chanel affiliated herself with Nazis, either.

I don't love it, but I guess it's tolerable as a nickname. My oldest's name is Niko and when my youngest was learning to talk he called him "Koko" :)But I'm guessing you mean for a girl:
Cora
Coral
Coralee
Colby
Colette
Nicolette
Nicole / Nicola
Cornelia
Corinne / Corinna
Courtney
Jacoba

I dislike it, feels very snooty. It reminds me of nns like Fifi. It also makes me think of Coco Chanel and the word Rococo.

It immediately makes me think of celeb children, of Courteney Cox's daughter. I always loved Friends and I think her daughter's name is pretty well known. Next I think of monkeys, I think due to the cereal (Cocoa Pops) which had a monkey on the cover. Of course I also think of cocoa. Overall it is just too nickname-ish and insubstantial, in my opinion. I much prefer the similar Cleo which has tons of more history than Coco. Coco is also a bit stripper-ish, sorry :/ If you like it I would recommend it as a nickname. It needs something classic to balance it outCoco Margaret
Coco Eleanor
Coco Josephinebut actually it looks a bit ridiculous next to such classic names...Maybe something more offbeat likeCoco Hermione
Coco Theodora
Coco Evangeline
Coco Jessaminethat works better. But yes, I prefer it as a nickname.

Coco is best as a nickname, but I do like it! How about...Colette (real life example - the main character in a book I'm reading goes by Coco, but Colette is her full name)
Colleen
Coraline
Cordelia
Corinne
Cosette

I love love this nickname!! I'm looking for a full name as well. I like Colette and Coleen. I think Charlotte could work too.

Awful. Nothing could possibly make it anything other than an old-fashioned chocolate drink or one of those repetitive nns like Bibi and Gigi and Fifi and Deedee, all of which sound suitable for a litter of female French poodles.

Musician Graham Colton uses Coco as a nickname for his daughter, but her name is Colleen Colton. I kind of like the idea though.I like using Coco as a nickname for alliterative names.Colleen
Colina (I met a girl named this yesterday. Kind of cool.)
Colette
Cosette
Constance
Constanza
Cordelia
Cora
Coraline
Corina
Corrine
Cornelia
Cosima
Cosmina
Coretta
Concord / Concordia
Comfort
If that kind of idea does't thrill you, I guess you could use something with "co" in it:
Nicoline / Nicoleta / etc
Jacoba / Jacobine / etc
Jocosa
Giacoma

There was a lot going on when I read your post, and when I got to Giacoma I misread it as Glaucoma ...Thanks for the giggle.

Well, I mean, I don't recommend it as a name, but I guess it works. Haha.

'Re: Coco?As a full name it is cheap with a capital c. As a nn it's just babyish.
It could be short for Courtney or Corinne or Colette or Nicole.
