Margot, Vivien, and Sylvie.
I remember years back I thought this was about the most shockingly stylish trio of names I could think of.
I still like them, although they're all more mainstream now.
Wdyt of these names individually and as a set? What would you name their sister?

I think they make a great sibset, as you said they have a very sleek and stylish feel, particularly Margot and Vivien. I really like that they all have the same no. of letters and different endings too. I absolutely love Margot and Sylvie, they sound so good, and have such a cool feel and great imagery for me. I think Vivien is okay, I don't have particularly strong feelings either way, but I do think it works well here. I'd imagine their sister(s) would be Amelia, Verity, Cecily or Marilyn.

Taken together they sound very stylish circa 1945 Hollywood or Manhattan.
Margot is quite pretty.
Vivien is an ugly spelling of a name that sounds ugly and sly to me.
Sylvie is cutesy. Sylvia is much nicer, in a grown-up, no-frills kind of way.

Today she'd be Olive or Penelope or maybe Adele.

I like them. Lovely sister names. I'd name a sister to them: Cecily, Sophie, or Capucine.

Margot - I used to like this name a lot, still kinda do.. It's pretty and I like "o" ending sound for feminine names.
Vivien - I like this spelling more than Vivian, only because it looks like Vivienne, which I like a lot. Both great names.
Sylvie - I would use this as a nickname for Sylvia. Still nice sounding. Sylvia is a nice name.

It's a lovely sisterset. The names complement each other very well. I love the names individually, but even more so as a set. My favourite is Sylvie, next is Vivien (this is my preferred spelling) and then Margot. They are all very classy and stylish. I would name their sister Camilla, Frances, Elise or Mathilde

Oh, I like those names, and together especially.
Agree they seem less unusual now than they used to. But they're still not "mainstream" IMO.

Heh. I like variants of each of those names much better- Margaret, Vivienne and Sylvia would be much more to my taste.
I like Margot alright but the 'go' sound at the end always sounds kind of doughy to me
Vivienne (spelled this way) is a long time favorite of mine. It doesn't always make the top of my list on an ongoing basis but it is one of those names that has always been 'up there' with various moments of being number 1 and that makes it a definite contender for a real child one day. I think it's so elegant and I love the repeated 'v' sounds. Vivien looks incomplete to me.
Sylvie sounds incomplete to me. I grew up with an elderly next door neighbor called Sylvia, who went by Sylvie or Syl as a warm nickname, so Sylvie always sounds like a nickname to me even though I know it technically is a name in its own right.

Diana
