I love the sound of both but am not a huge fan of how they look, especially Gioia. The "gioi" combination is very odd-looking to me.

It confuses the heck out of people! (in the U.S.)I grew up with this name and people were always trying to add consonants to it.
Giola was the most common, followed by Gloria. Huge number of holiday and birthday cards from people with the wrong spelling. But the sound is so pretty you have to like it. "Joiya" ;)
