I'm not a fan of Klaus. To me it has a somewhat mysterious/creepy vibe. Names with a similar feeling are Vlad and Hans. They all seem like good names for vampires.

LOVE IT. It's been a favorite of mine for a long time, but no one else shares my appreciation of it. It does sound very German, but I think it's cute. Reminds me of Klaus Mikkaelson from TVD & The Originals and the actor who plays him, Joseph Morgan.

To me it's just too close to Claus (as is Santa) for comfort. DH loves Klaas, though, and I find that form much nicer. They're both strong, but Klaus feels heavier.
