[Opinions] Lydia
Lydia, as I may have mentioned numerous upon numerous on here already, is my favorite girls' name. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for a daughter. I love it!! OK, the question I wish to ask is...what color to associate it with, if any? I don't typically associate many names with colors but I decided why not give this a try, just for fun.I think Lydia makes me think of a yellow color. Golden\Gold-ish comes to mind. Idk why. What about you? Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple or a certain shade\hue?

Lydia, overall, is yellow to me, slightly more warm than bright due to the slightest hint of gold; however, the "yd" is like a slick, black droplet. It doesn't overpower the yellow, but it's kind of there in the background and keeps me from ever fully committing to the name as a top favorite. It does have a most wonderful rhythm though.

I associate it with earthy colors. Nice browns and yellows. I like the name, it's very down to earth and no nonsense. It has a long history and background. It doesn't sound like a million other name but has a unique sound to it and it isn't too common but everyone knows how to spell and pronounce it. Lydia is beautiful! :)

My first thought was purple then green. A deep, rich, 'royal' purple like this:
And a bright, lively green like this:
I kind of have two images of Lydia, one being somewhat indulgent, luxurious, a little spoiled and childish, very much because of Lydia Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. But she's also strong willed, stubborn and feisty. All of that's the purple. But I also get adventure and energy, she's fun, upbeat, and lively; that's the green.

Yes! I see a deep purple but in contrast to other springy colors.Funny how pretty much everyone has said either deep purple or greens/yellows. :)

Peachy pink, golden yellow, light/medium green...kind of like camellias:

Lydia is a deep purple to me. Not one color though, kinda polka dot-y. A darker color of spring.

Spring green, light yellow-green. Ripening lemons.

Lydia evokes a dark purple sensation to me. Sort of similar to #520760 hex code. Very pretty.
