Five years on it's been all change for the extended Holt brood - some have had bigger changes than other! - let's find out...
Beth and Henry are growing old gracefully and are so proud of how far their daughters have come since that fateful month 8 years ago when all their lives changed forever. They love spending time with the grandchildren - though not all at once! - and are looking forward to watching them grow up.
Since having Tenny, Callie has married! She never thought it would happen but she fell head over heels in love with Eugene and the pair were engaged and married within a year of first meeting! He adored Toby and Tenny and spends a lot of time just him and the boys, bonding over board games or karate or whatever they want - he spoils them rotten! Despite the love, he admitted to Callie he regretted never having his own and so, despite their ages, the husband and wife decided to try to conceive. They struggled initially and turned to fertility treatments where, from their first round of IVF, they became parents-to-be of triplets! The pregnancy was carefully monitored and at 34 weeks, Callie underwent a C-section to get the babies out. They were all gorgeous, weighing 4lbs 3oz, 4lbs 4oz and 4lbs 10oz. Before the triplets, Callie was still working and moved from podcasts to vlogs of which she oversaw the management of three series as well as one she created from scratch and starred in herself. Callie loves it as it is something that can take her all over the country but could be done from the comfort of her own home too.
Toby and Tenny have grown up to be best friends, they understand that Gene isn't their "real" dad but they enjoy doing all of the things sons and dads so together like building dens and going camping. The sudden influx of babies to their lives is a huge change but it just means they're spending more time round Nan and Granddad's, which neither of them minds.
Five years has seen four births for Georgie and Elliott. She now stays at home full time to be the best mum she can be to the six little ones - including the newest addition, Reuben - while Elliott puts in a lot of hours at the office to keep the family financially viable. Arthur sometimes finds it hard being the only one in the family who isn't the biological child of Elliott, over the past few years visits from his real dad, Adam, have tailed off and now he only sees him once every few months. But when he talks to Toby - who has never met his dad and is just grateful to have Gene in his life - Arthur realises how lucky he has to have two dads. The ups and downs and births of the past five years have been a rollercoaster for Georgie but she still has to pinch herself everyday that her dream of heading a huge family alongside a loving partner has actually come true.
Meanwhile, Mattie and Mackenzie tied the knot just over nine months ago and three daughters have recently become four! Though Luna wasn't planned, Mattie and Mackenzie are thrilled to have a child together since they have been raising each others for several years. Nita, Nora and Freya continue to grow as best friends, they appreciate and understand their unique blended family but are grateful to have each other and their step-parents as none of the children have any contact with their other biological parent. Before Luna, Mattie was excited to throw herself into work with Freya grown up and independent; although it doesn't come with the excitement holiday repping use to, her new role as assistant events manager was set to open lots of doors for her... Now, with Luna's arrival, things aren't looking quite so sure.
