Enid is really cute. It's kind of a "nerd" name for me. Reminds me of an entomologist, for some reason. I keep imagining a young, slender woman with big-frame glasses studying a beetle under a microscope.

I lie Enid more. The only name ending in -th that I like (and I like it enough to use, given enough kids) is Gareth. All the rest sound like someone with badly fitting dentures trying to say 's'.
The fact that my late MIL was Edith (though she never used it) and my friend's nice wife is Enid has nothing to do with it. Honest!

I pronounce it EE-nid.
Edith is pretty to me because of the -ith part; -nid is not attractive.
Edith is my #1 girl name... so, I like it more
