[Opinions] Unusual Italian Names
Romualdo (on a nearly 80-year-old man) and Soccorsa (on a nearly 70-year-old woman).I've heard Romualdo before (it is the name of a saint who founded a monastery near my home), but never actually met a man with this name. I find it really old-fashioned, and not in a nice way.I've never heard of Soccorsa, though. The male form, soccorso, means rescue in Italian, so I presume it has something to do with Virgin Mary in the same way as Dolores (Our Lady of Sorrow).Thoughts?
