It's definitely only used as a boys name in Wales.

My response, based first on my gut instinct and then on data available, is this: Bleddyn would be really out of place as a girl's name.

Are you Welsh? Do you live in Wales? Is it used for girls in Wales? That's what you should be considering.
Also, if you don't live in Wales, will it bother you to have the name mispronounced as bleedin' rose? Because to be honest, that's really what it looks like.
