I think it's kinda corny as a name, since it's a term for someone who's excessively optimistic, plus the term is mostly used in a negative context. Other than that, it sounds kinda frilly.I have read the book Pollyanna, and I enjoyed it. There's also an old anime series based on the book and its sequel. (Has anyone else here besides me read the book?)

No, but I know Hayley Mills starred in the movie, and she annoys the bejesus out of me.Is anyone else annoyed by Hayley Mills?

Hayley Mills doesn't bother me, but that movie is ingrained in my head.

I adored the book! And agree with the aunt - Pollyanna is a ridiculous name :)
