[Games] Re: Silverstarswept's Adoption Agency
The Cartwright FamilyLoxley William Cartwright 36, Artist
A creative spirit, Loxley majored in art during college and never really found a suitable "normal" profession that aligned with his interests. He eventually decided to stay at his childhood home, sell his work for a living, and teach paining lessons on the side. Unfortunately, partially through his dedication to his work, partially through just not meeting the right person, he never found the one. Loxley grew up in a large, happy family and had always pictured having a similar dynamic when he had a family of his own, so he was devastated when a family didn't seem to be in the cards. About a year ago, Loxley decided the only way for him to have the family he dreamed of was for him to adopt. Others Living in the Same ResidenceWilliam Henry Cartwright 64, Physician
William, Loxley's father and future grandfather to his adopted children, is pretty much the stereotypical older physician. He's well meaning, if a little stuck in his ways, and perpetually looks like stepped out of the 1950s. He was a bit distant for most of his 7 children's childhood, but he's grown more caring and supportive with time and cares very much for all his children, especially Loxley, who he has a very good relationship with. One distinct characteristic is his and his wife's shared love of stories and myths. They love them so much that they gave each child a first name inspired by a famous work of literature.Belinda Alice (Worther) Cartwright 63, Librarian
Belinda, Loxley's mother and future grandmother to his adopted children, is the kind, nurturing type librarian who always loves to share her love for books with those who come to the library. She was a very active stay-at-home mom during her children's youth, and has developed great relationships with all her children, but her passion really lies in her newfound career. Belinda enjoys spending time with her other grandchildren and looks forward to having children in the house once more, though she has consistently reminded Loxley that she will not be an on-call babysitter.Fitz Frederick Cartwright and Fairfax Elizabeth Cartwright 23, Unemployed
Fitz and Fairfax are Loxley’s youngest siblings and the only two still living at home. They have recently graduated college with degrees in history and literature respectively and are looking for employment near home. Neither have significant others in the picture and, as they both love little kids, they seem likely to continue living in the childhood home indefinitely to help Loxley raise his adopted children.Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

Amelia Saffron & Bellamy Isaac!Amelia Saffron is a 3 year old girl whose parents sadly passed away in a housefire last year. She's a lively, energetic child who some find exhausting, and she's always curious about the world around her. Amelia loves discovering new things, and knows many words already. She says that she dreams of being an astronaut or a story-writer, and will be delighted to have a loving home with the Cartwrights.Bellamy Isaac is 7 years old, and he's been living in various foster homes since he was born - his mother felt she wasn't ready, and his father was never really in the picture. He's a very clever boy, and he's particularly good at noticing smaller details which many overlook. He performs well in school, but his teachers feel he could do better with some effort. He can sometimes lose his temper quite violently, and if he isn't in the mood, will refuse to do anything asked of him. Howevee, we're sure that with support and love, he can work through this issues. We'd love to hear how Amelia and Bellamy get along in their new home!

It has been two years since the Cartwright family welcomed a hesitant Bellamy and an exuberant Amelia and the two kids have fit right in with their new family, who fell in love with them at once. Although Bellamy's temper got in the way of his relationships at first, Loxley taught him how to use artistic expression to communicate his feelings and he's used this technique to better control his feelings. He's also in therapy once a week to help deal with the events of his childhood. He unexpectedly connected with his grandfather and they have begun working to fix an old car together when they're not passing a baseball around. Amelia fit in right away, bouncing around the house babbling questions and delivering amusing proclamations. She especially feels a bond with Fairfax ("Auntie Fairy") and Fitz ("Uncle Fee Fie Fo") who enjoy spoiling her and telling her stories, but always turns to her dad for the most important things. Loxley loves them both more than anything and tells anyone who will listen that he's the luckiest father in the world.
