[Opinions] Beatrice or Beatrix?
Do you prefer Beatrice or Beatrix?I have the feeling that Beatrice is more elegant whereas Beatrix is really spunky. Beatrice really reminds me of Dante. What are your opinions on them? Do they give you different images?

Beatrix is spunky, Beatrice more elegant and a little twee. Beatrix dresses in black and listens to Depeche Mode and Gregorian chants before she risks arrest at a protest outside her expensive liberal arts college, Beatrice dresses in soft colors and reads classics to her sweet grandmother in their garden while she listens to acoustic guitar folk with lots of hand-clapping.

I get the same vibes on each as you do. Beatrice is nice, while Beatrix is so spunky. Beatrix wins hands down and I love the nn potential Trix and Trixie.

I love both, but Beatrix is higher on my list. I like the bit of spunk it has, which maintaining it's old fashioned flair.

I prefer Beatrix, because like you said, it's more spunky. I think Beatrice has a slightly more serious feel to it.

Beatrice is not only a family name for generations; it's also my daughter's name, after my late mother.Beatrix is too Dutch-royalty to me, and Trixie is the inevitable nn and suitable only for fox terriers.

I prefer Beatrice, but Beatrix is also a beautiful name. I have a similar feeling about them. Beatrice seems elegant and refined, while Beatrix seems artistic and wild. Both are wonderful choices, imo. I slightly prefer Beatrice, but it's hard to explain why. I think I just like the "iss" sound. I seem to have a thing for names ending in -ce. I wonder why that is!

BeatrixIt's spunky and much less dated sounding.

Beatrice to me is more quiet and reserved. She thinks things through and is sensible and responsible. I get a Victorian vintage vibe from her. Beatrix on the other hand, is louder and outgoing. She's more spontaneous, energetic, fun and stylish. I get a 1950/60s film star vibe from her. I prefer Beatrix because she does come across as feistier. I love her imagery, I like the link to Beatrix Potter, and a character (nn Trixie, which I also adore) who is exactly how I see Beatrix. Plus such a great meaning too! Beatrix is one of my all time favourites, and I've considered putting her as top choice for a girl. I recently decided to have Beatrix as a middle for my favourite name instead, since I'd hate not to use her, but have reservations about using her as a first. Beatrice is great, but nowhere near as awesome as Beatrix in my opinion.

I prefer Beatrice. The sound of an X in a name seems kind of unappealing, so Beatrix and Trixie turn me off.

I prefer Beatrix over Beatrice. Beatrix is definitely spunkier than Beatrice, inho. Beatrix is a punk girl while Beatrice is a prep. I also prefer Trixie to Bea or Tris.

I love both. I used to prefer Beatrice, but lately, Beatrix is my favourite. The fact that you can use Trixie, as well as Bea, is definitely a factor. Tris is cute too (not sure if that is how people would spell it), but Trixie, even more so, to me.
