I was playing 'The Sims' the other day and while I was absent my Sim had a baby girl who received a random name by the game because of me not being there to choose one.
Her name was Nayeli. I think it's pretty and the meaning is really nice too. What do you think of Nayeli?
Oh and what do you think caused the crazy rise in popularity in 2001? In 2000 it was just at #604 and suddenly in 2001 at #175.

Nayeli is great, I've liked it for years.

I think it looks really pretty, and the meaning is lovely, but that said I don't so much like how it sounds. I know a Nayeli in real life, I believe she's around 16.
I think it took the same route as Nevaeh when it comes to popularity. Nevaeh is so popular because parents think the whole "Heaven spelled backwards" thing is appealing. Parents probably like Nayeli because it translates to "I love you" in Zapotec language.
