I love Asa! I pronounce it ah-suh, but I've also heard it pronounced ai-suh, which is cute too. I like it on either a male or female, but I think it's more commonly known on a male. If you use it for a boy, I doubt it'll get mixed up, as there's a very low chance that people will be going around introducing their sons as Ava or something of the likes, but for a girl, I think it's more prone to be confused with.
